Dr Rajkanna has helped me with a problem that I had been struggling with for some time that I could not resolve. On my last review at the end she asked me was there anything else I wanted to ask, I asked if she could tell me who I needed to speak to about my taking of Alendronic Acid and needing dental treatment she told me that it was Rheumatology and in her letter to the GP requested that I be referred to them at my local hospital. It has taken nearly a year but at last this problem is being sorted which it would not have been if Dr Rajkanna had not asked me the question, listened to me and then made the request. In todays phone consultation Dr Rajkanna went through my current medication, checking my routine with steroids, steroid blue card and rescue injection in date. I had recently experienced difficulty in getting the hydrocortisone injections for my GP pharmacy and they had to write a script for me to get them from Boots the chemist. She told me that if I have this difficulty again that I could contact the Endocrine Team to see if they can help which is reassuring. I am so grateful for Dr Rajkammas support with my steroid regimen and for making this request for Rheumatology as my dental problems whilst on Alendronic Acid should now be sorted by November. I first met Dr Rajkanna when being admitted to Peterborough Hospital after an Adrenal Crisis January 2019

Dr Rajkanna has looked after me for a couple of years now, she has always listened to me and made sure that I'm 100% happy throughout my treatment. I always used to be really worried when it came to hospital appointments and the Drs not understanding what I want to get across, however, Dr Rajkanna has always takes the time to listen and explain things properly. Dr Rajkanna is always calm and polite and treats everyone around her with great respect which is nice to see and made time within her very busy schedule to visit me when I'm going through tests at the hospital to say hello! A long side some other professionals, Dr Rajkanna has helped me achieve some amazing results regarding my health and I am now improving my situation thanks to her and her expertise. I would like to thank her for the decision to refer me to Addenbrookes whist also keeping in contact throughout the process and making time for clinics to talk about progress/updates regarding my health. It is so nice to see someone who very clearly loves their job and always has a smile on her face!

I'm sure I must have seen a different doctor as the one I saw was totally dis-interested in me and my problems. She has supposed to have been sorting out trying to get me funding for a libre sensor, which I am having to self fund at £40 a fortnight as when I saw her in January she said she would put through an exceptional funding request. I spoke to the CCG today and this has not been done. I have also phoned 5 times and never received a call back. It has taken more than 7 weeks to get the confirmation letter of my last meeting, which has numerous errors on it for my medical conditions. Totally different to my liver consultant who if I have a problem rings me back within 24 hours.

I was referred to Dr Rajkanna with sleep and energy issues. Dr Rajkanna arranged a blood test and quickly diagnosed the issue. After a short time on pills I received a letter requesting a new blood test. Within days Dr Rajkanna called, explaining my new dosage, followed by a letter. I had a couple more appointments before the blood test became normal and my treatment finished. In further discussion with Dr Rajkanna, I explained that the tiredness had not greatly improved. She explained that, now the initial issue was sorted, further blood tests may show other issues. I am currently waiting to find out the next step. Dr Rajkanna has been extremely helpful, patient and professional in all of our meetings. I have the utmost confidence that, if I need treatment I shall receive it; and if not I have nothing to be worried about.
